Herz

Der erste Monat des Jahres ist bereits vorbei, und es wird Zeit für einen neuen Wandbehang. Diesmal gibt es ein Herz für den Valentinstag, und die Anleitung steht wieder zum freien Download auf meiner Website zur Verfügung. Es ist kaum zu glauben, aber ich habe tatsächlich das Quilting zweimal aufgetrennt. Ja, nicht nur einmal, sondern gleich zweimal. Ich hatte ein Feathered Heart auf das gepatchte Herz gequiltet, und es hat mir nicht gefallen. Ich dachte, dass es an der Garnfarbe liegen würde, also habe ich getrennt und mit anderem Garn neu gequiltet. Und es hat mir immer noch nicht gefallen. Und da ich wusste, dass ich mit dem Ergebnis nie glücklich sein würde, habe ich alles erneut aufgetrennt und stattdessen Free Motion Herzen gequiltet. Nach all dem Frust habe ich mich dann mit Free Motion Feathers als Füllmuster für den Hintergrund belohnt, das ist ein Muster, das ich immer gern quilte.

 

Another month has come and gone, and it's time for a new wall hanging. This time it's a heart for Valentine's Day, instructions are available again as a free download. Can you believe that I unpicked my quilting not only once but twice? Yes, I know, I am a perfectionist. I quilted a feathered heart onto the pieced heart, and it didn't look right. I thought it was my thread choice, so I unpicked and quilted again with a different thread. It still didn't look right to me, and I knew I wouldn't be happy, so I unpicked again and started over with just a free motion heart design. After all this frustration I rewarded myself with free motion feathers as a background filler, a design I love to stitch.
