Zicken-Puzzle letzter Teil: Golden Gate Bridge

In der blogfreien Zeit habe ich zwar nicht so sehr viel genäht, aber ein paar Sachen habe ich noch nachzureichen. Den Anfang macht heute der letzte Teil der Puzzle-Quilts der Zick-Zack-Zicken für alle, die unsere Werke in der Ausstellung in Teltow nicht live sehen konnten.

I didn't sew much during the time I stopped blogging but there are a few things I finished that I will show here. Today I present the last part of the Zick-Zack-Zicken sliced quilt project. We had an exhibition in the meantime but I not everybody could go there and see the quilts in reality so I decided to show it here again.

This is the picture I chose, a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge that my husband took back in 1997. It is actually a print of a slide that I scanned afterwards so please excuse the poor quality.

Es fehlte noch meine Vorlage, ein Foto der Golden Gate Bridge, das mein Mann im Oktober 1997 aufgenommen hat. Das Bild ist im Original ein Dia, den Abzug davon habe ich eingescannt, daher ist die Qualität nicht so optimal.

Ein Bild des fertigen Quilts hat Susanne ja schon im Blog der Zick-Zack-Zicken gepostet. Heute habe ich noch Bilder der einzelnen Teile gemacht, auf denen man vielleicht ein paar Details mehr erkennt.

Da Ines ja im letzten Sommer leider durch ihre Krankheit ausgefallen ist, habe ich zwei Puzzle-Teile selbst gemacht.

Since Ines couldn't sew last summer because of her illness I made two of the pieces myself.

Zicken-Puzzle - Vorletzter Teil

Hier kommt der vorletzte Teil unseres Zicken-Puzzles. Anke hat sich ein Herbstbild ausgesucht, Vorlage ist ein Foto, dass sie selbst gemacht hat. Mein Teil enthält jede Menge Blätter und ein Stück Kürbis. Das war jetzt das letzte Stück, das ich vor meinem Urlaub noch unbedingt abarbeiten wollte. Geschafft! Jetzt sollte ich bloß noch im Nähzimmer ein wenig aufräumen.

Here comes another round of the Zick-Zack-Zicken puzzle or sliced quilts. Anke chose a fall picture, one that she took herself. My piece contained a lot of leaves and parts of a big pumpkin. That was the last thing I wanted to finish before going on vacation. I am done! But I think I should tackle the chaos in my sewing room before leaving.

Zicken-Puzzle für Renate

In Wahlsdorf wird heute die nächste Runde Puzzle-Stücke an ihre Besitzerin übergeben. Renate hat das Bild "Auf der Freundschaftsinsel" des Potsdamer Malers Alfred Schmidt gewählt. Mein Teil besteht vor allem aus Blumen und Blättern, also habe ich wild "getackert", wie Kerstin sagen würde.

The next pieces for our puzzle quilt project are due today and will be given to Renate at our retreat in Wahlsdorf. She chose a picture of a painter from her hometown Potsdam, Alfred Schmidt. The puzzle piece I received consisted mainly of plants and flowers, so I piled up fabric, wool and thread on my background and free-motion stitched around wildly.

Bunt und glitzernd soll es sein - Zicken-Puzzle 3. Teil

Unser nächstes Puzzle-Projekt ist das von Ines. Sie gab uns Teile eines Schwarz-Weiß-Fotos mit der Aufgabe, es möglichst bunt in Stoff umzusetzen. Glitzereffekte waren nicht vorgeschrieben, aber durchaus erwünscht. Also, bunt ist mein Ergebnis auf jeden Fall.
Our next puzzle quilt was Ines's project. She gave us pieces of a black-and-white picture and asked us to make a colorful and possibly glittering version in fabric. Well, it turned out colorful all right.

Mein Freund der Baum

Das Geheimnis ist gelüftet, so sieht das Baum-Bild als Ganzes aus.

And here are the puzzle pieces laid out. I am really looking forward to seeing the finished quilt.
Und so sehen die Stoffteile grob zusammengelegt aus. Ich bin schon auf den fertigen Quilt gespannt.

Puzzle-Quilt für Kerstin

Das neue Projekt der Zick-Zack-Zicken sind Puzzle-Quilts. Inspiriert hat uns diese Seite. Susannes Pizza ist bereits fertig, als nächstes ist Kerstins Baum an der Reihe. Hier ist das Teilstück, das ich bekommen habe, sowie meine Umsetzung in Stoff.

Our new Zick-Zack-Zicken project are puzzle quilts. We were inspired by this website. Susanne's pizza is already finished, Kerstin's tree is next. This is the part of the picture I got and what I came up with in fabric.
