Acht Blöcke Sentimental Journey

... habe ich in Blossin genäht. Noelle hat tapfer durchgehalten, und wir hätten auch den neunten Block noch fast fertig bekommen, aber kurz vor Schluss, in einem Anfall von "Den-Block-muss-ich-doch-auch-noch-schaffen", habe ich ein Quadrat falsch durchgeschnitten, so dass die Streifen nicht mehr in die richtige Richtung zeigten, und da habe ich lieber aufgehört.

I actually did some sewing at the retreat which is hard to believe considering all the activities. Noelle gave her best, and we finished eight blocks of the Sentimental Journey Sampler. The ninth block is almost done, too, but when I tried to rush it in the last sewing minutes on Sunday, I made a wrong cut on a square. Now the stripes were not facing in the right direction, so I gave up before making an even bigger mess out of the block.

There are just three blocks online until now so I have no idea of the other blocks' names. I knew that when I started this project that I would probably not dig it out every month but rather sew all the blocks more or less at once. And I even ordered fabric for the borders. After my recent experiences with German customs I thought that would be a good idea. I ordered three weeks ago, nothing has arrived yet.

Bei Block Central sind erst drei Blöcke gepostet, so dass ich leider nicht weiß, wie die anderen heißen. Ich hatte ja schon am Anfang die Vermutung, dass ich nicht jeden Monat die Sachen herausholen würde, sondern die Blöcke lieber am Stück nähe. Stoffe für die Ränder habe ich auch schon bestellt, nachdem der Zoll meine Stöffchen neuerdings so liebt, dass er sie wochenlang behält. Das ist auch schon wieder drei Wochen her, bis jetzt ist nichts angekommen.
