Frühchenquilts aus Blossin

Zumindest in Halle dürfte der Notstand jetzt beendet sein, Antje konnte aus Blossin 38 Frühchenquilts mitnehmen. Zu sehen gibt es auch hier nur eine Auswahl, ich habe gar nicht alle fotografiert, obwohl ich mir Mühe gegeben habe.

38 preterm baby quilts were donated for the hospitals in Halle during our retreat. That is a new record number, and I could not take pictures of all of them, therefore I will just show a selection here.

After our retreat in Magdeburg ( I think that was in 2006) Annelore had the idea that everyone who wanted to make a small quilt for Halle should bring it to next year's retreat to be donated. By now this is a nice tradition, and I am happy that still so many women bring a quilt, and I especially like it that every year more women bring more than one quilt.

Annelore hatte nach dem Treffen in Magdeburg (war das 2006?) die Idee, die Frühchenquilt-Aktion zu unterstützen, indem jede Teilnehmerin, die Lust hat, ein Quiltchen für Halle zum nächsten Treffen mitbringt. Das ist seitdem Tradition geworden, und es freut mich, dass sich noch immer so viele Frauen beteiligen und besonders, dass immer mehr Frauen mehr als einen Quilt mitbringen.

Ein professionelles Logo hat unsere Gruppe in diesem Monat auch bekommen, ein Geschenk von einer Grafikerin, die nicht nähen kann, die Aktion aber so unterstützen möchte. Ich habe es rechts in die Leiste gestellt und mit der Yahoo-Gruppe verlinkt.
