Am letzten Wochenende habe ich den Rand an das weiße Top genäht, nun ist es fertig und muss noch gequiltet werden. Das Nähen ging erstaunlich schnell, da die bunten Teile schon vorsortiert waren und ich nur noch in die Kiste greifen musste. Und bei dem schönen Wetter im September habe ich ganz oft Noelle auf die Terrasse geschleppt und dort ein paar Reihen zusammengenäht.
I finished the white quilt top last weekend, adding the border. Sewing was pretty fast since I had already chosen the colored scraps and put them into sewing order, I just had to take them out of the box. We had beautiful weather in September, so I often dragged Noelle and my sewing stuff out of the house for some patio sewing.Batting and quilting thread are already bought and I had ordered the backing fabric with the white ones so I am almost ready to go. I have a general idea how I want to quilt it but the details might need a little more thought. And my shoulder and neck area is very tense this weekend so I am not sure if I will be able to do any machine quilting at all.
Vlies und Garn habe ich schon, Rückseitenstoff hatte ich ja gleich mitbestellt, nur über das Quiltmuster bin ich mir noch nicht ganz im Klaren. Eine grundsätzliche Idee habe ich, nur die Feinheiten muss ich mir noch überlegen. Und natürlich ist es mir prompt zum Wochenende so in die Schulter gefahren, dass ich nicht sicher bin, ob Quilten mit der Maschine überhaupt geht.

AntwortenLöschenOh wie schön!! Ich bin nicht neidisch, freue mich schon, wenn ich meine eigenen ganzen Fitzelchen zusammen nähen werde. Ich habe so gar keine Vorstellung, wie weit die geschnittene Stoffe reichen werden. Und es werden immer noch mehr! Aber die Überraschung ist ja ein wesentlicher Teil dieses unseres kreativen Hobbys!
