Nachdem die Röcke nun abgearbeitet sind, geht es endlich weiter mit der Schnittkonstruktion. Ich habe mir alles noch einmal in Ruhe durchgelesen und dann den ganzen Schnitt komplett neu konstruiert. Alle Änderungen für "schwierige Figuren" habe ich vorgenommen. Die Bastelei im Schulterbereich kannte ich ja schon von "Fit for Real People" mit dem Unterschied, dass man bei Müller & Sohn nicht raten muss, wo eingeschnitten werden soll und wieviel eingefügt werden muss.
Having finished all my skirts I dug out my pattern construction book. I re-read everything and started over from scratch. The pattern is finished now, all alterations are done. I already knew the shoulder/upper back alteration from "Fit for Real People" but the the construction book told me excatly where to cut and how much (depending on my measurements) to add. No guessing this time.
I then pinned a FFRP paper model which looks pretty good. It is impossible to judge all the details since the paper is rather stiff and not as smooth as fabric. I will make a muslin later on. I added a little to the back width with my second version and took the same amount off the front width. It will be interesting to see if this solves my problem of not having enough ease of movement in the shoulder area.
Nach dem FFRP-Prinzip habe ich dann ein Papiermodell gefaltet. Es sieht schon mal ganz gut aus, allerdings ist das Schnittmusterpapier dann doch ein bißchen steif, so dass ich die Details nicht gut abschätzen kann. Besonders gespannt bin ich, ob die zweite Konstruktion mit etwas mehr Rückenbreite und dafür verminderter Brustbreite mir endlich die Bewegungsfreiheit im Schulterbereich gibt, die ich bisher nicht hinbekommen habe. Jetzt wird erstmal ein Probemodell genäht.
