Auszeit

Die Antwort auf meinen letzten Post lautet: gar nichts. Das Pullover-Jacken-Teil habe ich noch mit mäßigem Erfolg beendet, dazu mehr in einem anderen Post. Und danach hat dann die Winter-Lichtmangel-Lustlosigkeit zugeschlagen, und nichts ging mehr. Und obwohl es ja inzwischen wieder heller ist, ist meine Nähmotivation nicht wirklich zurückgekehrt. Hinzu kam, dass mein Mann einen Fotoscanner gekauft hat, und wir viel Spaß dabei haben, unsere alten Bilder zu digitalisieren. Da kommen Sachen zum Vorschein, die wir jahrelang nicht gesehen haben. Bei manchen ist die Qualität natürlich sehr schlecht, und da kommt Photoshop zum Einsatz. Die Bedienung dieses Programms muss man auch erst mal lernen, und all die Tricks herauszufinden kostet eine Menge Zeit, so dass ich mich in den letzten drei Monaten vor allem damit beschäftigt habe.

I did finish the sweater-cardigan-thing I mentioned in my last post but after that the winter blues hit me full force and I couldn't work up the motivation to do anything sewing-related. And although spring is finally here my sewing mojo is still on vacation. So what did I do during these last three months? My husband bought a film/slide scanner in January and we have lots of fun digitizing our old pictures. Since many of them are in bad quality we had to learn Photoshop as well to repair the damage. It takes time to figure out all the things that program can do. So for the most time I have been watching online tutorials and applying the stuff I learn to our scans.

Last weekend we had our yearly regional quilting retreat, so I have a lot to show and tell. But until now I did neither unpack my sewing stuff nor find the time to look at the pictures I took. I will post everything but it may take some time. I worked a lot during these last weeks, and I don't know when (or if) that will get better. So it looks like it will stay rather quiet around here in the near future.

Am letzten Wochenende war dann wieder Sternetreffen-Ost in Blossin, davon gibt es auch eine Menge zu erzählen und zu zeigen, aber ich habe bisher weder meine Nähkiste ausgepackt noch Zeit gefunden, die Fotos anzusehen. Es wird alles nachgereicht, aber ich weiß nicht wann. Die letzten Wochen waren arbeitsmäßig sehr zeitintensiv, ich weiß nicht, wann das besser wird, es sieht also so aus, als würde es weiterhin eher ruhig bleiben in meinem Blog.
