Ich bin ziemlich konsequent, was UFOs angeht - ich habe keine. Wenn ich etwas wirklich nicht mehr mag und beenden möchte, dann werfe oder gebe ich es hemmungslos und ohne Schuldgefühle weg. Allerdings habe ich schon ein paar WIPs, die sich über einen längeren Zeitraum hinziehen. Im Moment ist das vor allem der Rose Sampler von Rosemary Makhan.
I have a very strict policy about UFOs - I don't have any. If I start a project and realize later on that I don't really like it and don't want to finish it, I throw it out or give it away without feeling guilty. But I do have a few WIPs that I didn't finish right away. My main WIP right now is Rosemary Makhan's Rose Sampler.
I started the blocks in January 2004 and had already ten by June of that year, all appliqued by hand. Afterwards I didn't feel like doing hand appliqué for a long time and didn't finish the last two blocks until the end of 2005. I appliqued the borders in 2006 and pieced the top and marked it for quilting. In 2007 I started quilting, again by hand. I finished quilting nine out of twelve blocks so far.
Ich habe im Januar 2004 damit angefangen und hatte im Juni 2004 schon zehn Blöcke appliziert, alle mit der Hand. Danach hatte ich überhaupt keine Lust mehr, und es hat bis Ende 2005 gedauert, bis alle zwölf Blöcke appliziert waren. 2006 habe ich dann die Ränder appliziert und das Top zusammengenäht und zum Quilten markiert. 2007 habe ich mit dem Quilten begonnen, auch mit der Hand. Bisher habe ich neun von zwölf Blöcken fertig gequiltet.
