Abschied

Ich habe ja schon seit einigen Jahren nicht mehr die Zeit gefunden, diesen Blog zu updaten. Was als privates Nähtagebuch begonnen hat, fiel dann der Umstellung auf das professionelle Quilten zum Opfer. Wenn man den ganzen Tag lang für Kunden quiltet, dann bleiben die eigenen Nähprojekte irgendwann auf der Strecke. Bei mir kommt noch hinzu, dass ich ja nicht nur Longarm Quilting als Service anbiete, sondern auch Quilts entwerfe und die Anleitungen dazu schreibe. 

 

Und während im Netz viele Designer unterwegs sind, die nur zeichnen und rechnen und schreiben und die Anleitungen dann mit digitalen Bildern aus dem Designprogramm verkaufen, bin ich der Meinung, dass man doch zumindest die eigenen Anweisungen einmal probeweise befolgen sollte. In Nicht-Covid-Zeiten bin ich hier in der Gegend auch auf Quiltshows unterwegs, und dafür braucht man einfach Musterstücke, damit die Kunden das fertige Produkt sehen und anfassen können. 

 

Daher kommt es so gut wie gar nicht mehr vor, dass ich etwas nähe, das nichts mit meinem Quilting Business zu tun hat, und entsprechend habe ich auch nichts mehr, was ich hier posten könnte. In den letzten Jahren habe ich zumindest immer noch die Links zu den kostenlosen Monatsblöcken gepostet, aber auch das werde ich nun einstellen. Die Klick-Statistiken lohnen den Zeitaufwand einfach nicht. Ich lasse den Blog zumindest vorerst online, aber ich werde ihn gar nicht mehr updaten.

 

Es wird auch im nächsten Jahr einen kostenlosen Monatsblock auf meiner Website geben, der Link zum Blog findet sich rechts in der Sidebar. Ich danke allen, die über die Jahre hier gelesen und kommentiert habe. Schön war es, aber nun ist es an der Zeit, einen neuen Abschnitt zu beginnen.

Ein frohes neues Jahr 2021! Auch in diesem Jahr gibt es auf meiner Website wieder einen Monatsblock zum kostenlosen Download. Diesmal gibt es Äffchen unter dem Namen "Monkey Business". Die Anleitung steht jeweils einen Monat lang kostenlos zur Verfügung. Danach kann sie im Shop erworben werden, falls jemand den freien Download verpasst. Der erste Block kann hier heruntergeladen werden.

Happy New Year 2021! I have started another Block of the Month today on my website. This year's project is called "Monkey Business". The rules are pretty much the same as before.
